Alvin Bess is The Blue-Collar Scholar®, an author, public speaker, advocate, and urban-planning professional whose work centers on overcoming obstacles, navigating workplace adversity, and standing with people who have been misunderstood or underestimated.
After growing up with a severe stutter and facing educational, personal, and professional barriers, Alvin committed himself to doing the work required to become the polished professional audiences see today. His message is not that adversity is easy. His message is that adversity does not get the final word.
Through The Blue-Collar Scholar® and The Undaunted Black Male®, Alvin combines lived experience with professional insight to help people find their voice, protect their dignity, and move forward with strategy and purpose.
